YOUR WEDDING DAY..
To me, photography is more than just capturing moments. It is an art form carrying emotional energy articulating the beauty in everything raw. It is Poetry. Real and raw moments are important to me, and this is why I take a documentary and non-intrusive approach to photographing your wedding day as i prefer to capture those 'real' and unposed moments, however should there be a spot of perfect light, i may ask you to go stand there for some beautiful portrait/couple photographs. Don’t be surprised if I jump in a bush to capture the perfect spot.
My work is about so much more than creating a series of pinterest perfect images. Its about the real-ness of your wedding day; the moments of laughter, and the moments when the emotions become to much. Moments of love, silliness and those moments of complete and utter euphoria.. The missed moments and the love shared between two families.
I love meeting people and would love to tell your wedding story as honestly as possible.
ABOUT ME
I am a photographer based in South Africa. I live in the most beautiful area in the Western Cape called Stellenbosch. After graduating from the University of Stellenbosch with a Bachelor's in Business Management I moved to Berlin to take on the corporate world. After two and a half years working in Marketing I decided that I was in the wrong career.
During my time in Berlin, i was handed a professional camera. A 5d MkII, I didn't know at that moment that my life was about to change and that I realized that my true calling and passion is photography.
I decided to quit my job and travel back to South Africa to fulfill my calling and focus on improving my skills in photography. I had trained myself in all the areas that one can think of. From Sports photography to fashion photography. The reason being was to just be ready for anything that I will shoot. I want to be ready for moments that other photographers miss and tend to overlook.
May to August, you will find me in Europe shooting for Vogue Germany and shooting international weddings. And the rest of the year I am in South Africa.
The two genres of photography that I absolutely love is Fashion and weddings. My photography has been featured on numerous blogs, websites and online publishments and magazines such as Vogue Russia, Vogue Germany, Harpers Bazaar China. I also had the honour of receiving a highly commended award at the Sony World Photography Awards and I was a finalist in the Eyeem international photography awards.
